Abstract: Immigrants make up the fastest-growing group in the US, representing 13% of the population in 20133. The proportion of Minnesota residents that are immigrants has increased 38% over the past decade, and in 2011 immigrants represented 7% of the state's population, or 389,000 residents. (Note: these figures only include immigrants and exclude any children of immigrants who were born in the US.)
